A Drone-based CBRN for The European Defense Agency is Now Ready

A drone-based chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) reconnaissance system has been successfully developed by Frequentis Group’s CNS Solutions & Support division. The drone is capable of speeding up analysis through data integration from sensors and unmanned systems.

The Austrian company sees this new technology as a new era for CBRN defense, as these assets are able to quickly detect and assess dangerous materials, which will -according to Frequentis- make operations secure for both military and civilians.

Serving Europe with High-level technology

Through Incident and Crisis Management (ICM) technology, a Data Fusion Cell (DFC) combines different sources of information in response to any possible threats. The conglomerate states that the DFC is configured as a centralized module, which integrates data from different sources, including sensors and unmanned aircraft, leading to fast decision-making by comprehensive analysis.

Peter Skiczuk, Frequentis Vice President of Defense, claims that data fusion cell has transformed CBRN defense in Europe, allowing military units to respond efficiently and quickly to any threat.

CBRN defense starts a new era Austrian

CBRN Defense Centre commander, Colonel Schlechter states that these new technologies will achieve better results by reducing time from two hours to 45 minutes, without having to fly soldiers to dangerous areas. In other words, drones and robots will do the job. The company is now working on improving CBRN defense technologies for continued security of European nations, says Stefan Ringsmuth, CNS Solutions & Support CEO.
