DJI Drones Banned in the US - Will Parrot Anafi USA be the Alternative?
September this year creates a lot of problems for DJI. Why?The Countering CCP Drones Act - a bipartisan bill introduced by Congresswoman Elise Stefanik (R-NY) designed to address concerns about the presence of Chinese drones, specifically those from DJI, in US infrastructure - in the US House of Representatives, as decisions to ban Chinese drones were supported by the members.
Stefanik claims that the US government was already aware that DJI represents a risk to the country´s economic and national security, but there were no true efforts to stop the communist China from becoming a drone factory for the country.
Many private companies and businesses in the US opposed this decision, stating that they rely heavily on the DJI drones in day-to-day operations in several crucial fields like agriculture, public safety, and emergency services. The ban of the Chinese drones will crucially affect commercial operations and public safety.
DJI, the giant drone manufacturer, responded through their official blog with denial to the Congress allegations. The Chinese company explains thoroughly that DJI is not a military company and is not linked in any way to the Chinese government. DJI´s dominance is justified by its combination of reliability, innovation, and safety of their products, making it `a product of choice´. DJI adds that their drones are designed to enhance farming capabilities and has never received any requests for overseas data under China´s National Security Law and National Intelligence Law.
What is the alternative to the DJI drones?
Ok, DJI drones are now banned. How can the US replace the devastating amount industrial application drones? The Parrot is now growing up, especially the drone model – Parrot Anafi USA. The American made drone received the green light from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) to replace all the Chinese drones or Chinese linked companies. The drone is manufactured in the USA and is compliant with NDAA & TAA, and Blue sUAS approved.
Will Parrot Anafi USA be able to replace the huge number of Chinese drones operating in the US? We will see in the future and let you know of the updates.
