Futuristic Cargo and Passengers Transportation by China
An innovative twin-enginned drone from China is now ready for public use. The cargo is developed by Sichuan Tengden Sci-Tech Innovation Co, as state media reported that it took off in Sichuan province for a 20-minute flight.
While Tengden´s trial has been a success, the state-owned Aviation Industry Corp of China (AVIC) used the HH-100 model that has a 700kg payload capacity and a 520km flight radius. The AVIC plans to test the TP2000 next year, a cargo capable of transporting up to 2 tons with a flight radius way greater than the HH-100.
The newly tested cargo drones can provide taxi services and reduce delivery times and transportation costs. Additionally, they can deliver to dense populated areas without traditional aviaton infrastructure.
1800 yuan rides will be offered by Shanghai´s NewSky Heli Co as a way of reducing travel time from hours to 20 minutes between cities.
The initiative has been recognized by the chinese government, including it in the low-altitude economy vision. Vertical mobility is seen as a ´new productive force´ in different sectors such as cargo and passenger transportation.
