GREMSY and UVIRCO Collaborate to Introduce Pixy C Gimbal Paired with CoroCAM UVS
Gremsy and UVIRCO Technologies, leading manufacturer of camera gimbal stabilizers for drones & UAVs - and giant supplier of UV (Ultraviolet) discharge detection respectively, announced a collaboration to introduce advanced imaging solutions using UV wavelengths. This strategic partnership will reveal a compact package featuring Pixy C gimbal paired with CoroCAM UVS.
Gremsy´s Pixy C is integrated with UVIRCO´s CoroCAM and weighs a total of 1.25kg. It offers a high quality UV sensitivity with a wide field of view for close inspections. Gremsy designed Pixy C´s power and gimbal control cables to be perfectly compatible with CoroCAM UVS.
Thi Nguyen, Gremsy´s Senior Mechanical Engineer, valued the collaboration with UVIRCO´s team. He added: `Their dedicated effort on SDK development, as well as the supportive spirit, has made it a truly positive experience. Prior to Pixy C, our technical teams successfully collaborated on projects such as Gremsy T3 and Gremsy S1 integration, where Gremsy's gimbals proved to be optimal solutions for CoroCAM. With Pixy C integrating CoroCAM UVS and an added LWIR thermal module, I believe that this system will be well-received in the market,´ .
Ockert Henning, UVIRCO Technologies´ Chief Technology Officer, commented on the collaboration by stating that Gremsy was the obvious choice to supply a customized gimbal for UVIRCO´s new and smaller UVS UAV system. Henning added: `The teams worked together in innovative ways to ensure that the customization project was cost effective and successfully completed within a short time. The UVS / PixyC / M300 combination has now seen hundreds of hours service, flying real life sorties in harsh conditions. We are confident that this system will live up to the expectations of Uvirco clients that are used to above average performance, quality and value for money´.
This collaboration aims to improve inspections of distribution and transmission power lines, hardware and other infrastructure.
