Ukraine to receive drones from Lithuanian manufacturers
The Lithuanian Defense Ministry reported that manufacturers have finished the testing phase for military-like drones and they will be sent to Ukraine.
Ukrainian partners approved the drones and communicated the features they wanted, which were of course taken into consideration. Five enterprises were later given the green light to start the supplying process.
Future collaborations from manufacturers will include partnership offers to Ukraine, as the Lithuanian ministry will provide a budget of five million euros (465 million euros). Almost half the amount will be allocated to purchase these drones for the Lithuanian army.
Prior to this, the Foreign Ministry of Lithuania expressed gratitude to Ukraine for its intention to launch a deep strike into Russia. Gabrielius Landsbergis, the department head, claims that this will enable Ukraine to "cope with escalation from Russia."
